Artist Ronnie Frostad shares her vision, creative process, and body of work in the second installment of our professional artist presentation series. Born in Los Angeles and raised in the Sacramento area, Ronnie grew up immersed in art and developed early skills in painting, sculpture, and calligraphy. After initially pursuing a more traditional career, she committed fully to art—studying at American River College and UC Davis—and went on to become the only woman in the United States to own and operate a bronze foundry. Now based in North Natomas, her state-of-the-art foundry and gallery support artists nationwide, while her own large-scale commissioned sculptures and dedication to teaching reflect a lifelong passion for creativity she has no plans of slowing down.
