About the speaker: 
As the daughter of working-class parents Magdalena & Reginaldo, Karina witnessed firsthand the hard work and sacrifice needed to reach goals. These lessons helped shape her values and career path. As a result, Karina has become a tireless public servant who understands that even minor efforts can yield significant results. Actions like picking up the phone to call constituents, a new stop sign, a community event, or simple translation efforts can make a difference. Councilmember Talamantes is honored to represent the communities of the newly redrawn District 3 of the City of Sacramento - Natomas, Northgate, and Gardenland.
